I am Mark Wilkinson, a printmaker specialising in linocut. I live and work in rural Cumbria, England, where my eclectic inspirations include anything from Japanese woodblock prints to the art and design of the 1930s.
My work is all original and my prints are produced in limited editions, each of which is numbered, titled, dated and signed in pencil by me. Once I have taken the final print in an edition, I score the lino block through, so no further images can be taken from it.
Every step in the process of making the linocut, from drawing and designing, to carving and printing, is done by hand by me, and, as such, every print in the edition is absolutely unique.
My prints are made using the finest materials; vegetable oil-based relief ink and Somerset acid-free printmaking paper.

In addition to bricks and mortar stockists, my work is also available from my Etsy store.
